Security Sector Reform

InCompass International is active in most areas of Security Sector Reform, from:

  • offering policy advice to governments and Development Agencies;
  • supplying teams of SSR consultants for deployment to post-conflict zones;
  • establishing personal security awareness trainings for deployments to conflict and hostile environments;
  • implementing trainings and seminars on post-conflict stabilisation and re-construction programmes alongside MFAs and MoD;
  • assisting governments in establishing their own broad strategies for encouraging Public-Private Partnerships with a view to facilitating foreign investment and the early entry of companies offering essential services into countries emerging from conflict.

InCompass International, alongside partners in Canada, has developed a programme to assist governments in either establishing or improving their Mechanisms for Establishing Civilian/Parliamentary Oversight of the Security Services.

Results : A more efficient and effective security service(s), through improved civilian oversight mechanisms and regime.
